Clear scope.
Simple annual billing.
Website Care is $399 USD per year for one ClearSite-built static business website. It is an optional ongoing service, billed separately from the one-time design/build fee. Hosting, domain administration, renewals, SSL/DNS support, backups and ongoing maintenance are included only with an active Website Care subscription.
What the subscription covers
- Managed hosting for one static business website within the agreed project scope.
- Registration or renewal of one standard, customer-owned domain, with up to $50 USD of annual domain cost included. The domain and its renewal price must be agreed before purchase.
- Domain connection, DNS records, SSL certificate setup/renewal coordination, and troubleshooting of hosting or domain issues for that website.
- Source backups and version history before managed updates.
- Up to 30 minutes of small content edits or routine maintenance per month. Unused time does not roll over.
- A single point of contact at ClearSite for routine hosting and domain administration. Support is handled through the contact channel agreed during onboarding; this is not a 24/7 emergency response or uptime guarantee.
What costs extra
Premium domains, domain costs above the $50 annual allowance, additional domains or websites, business email, paid apps, advertising, custom photography, major redesigns, new features, e-commerce, large databases and high-traffic infrastructure are outside this plan. Any extra cost must be approved before it is incurred.
Without Website Care
The Landing Page, Business Website and Enhanced Website packages cover the agreed design, build, pre-launch revision rounds and handoff. They do not include hosting, domain registration or renewal, ongoing maintenance, email, paid tools, or post-handoff technical management. You arrange and pay for those yourself, or choose Website Care.
Annual renewal and cancellation
The advertised price is $399 USD charged upfront and automatically every year until canceled before the next renewal. Applicable taxes, if any, must be shown before payment. Website build payments are separate. There is no monthly billing option in this offer; $33.25/month is only the annual price divided by 12.
You can update your payment method, view invoices and cancel the next renewal through the Stripe customer portal. A cancellation scheduled for period end leaves the current paid service period in place. Any refund request is reviewed under the agreed project terms and applicable requirements.
Your domain stays yours
You remain the registered domain owner. ClearSite manages technical settings with the access you authorize. If you stop the subscription, we coordinate source and domain-access handoff before the paid service period ends. Future hosting and domain renewals then become your responsibility. Canceling the subscription does not sell, delete or transfer ownership of your domain.
Onboarding and provider access
Hosting and domain management begin after the website scope is agreed and the required provider access is arranged. Domain availability and transfers are subject to the registrar’s rules. Annual Stripe billing does not itself register or renew a domain: registrar access and a working renewal payment method must also be configured. Routine automated checks can identify billing or renewal issues; technical fixes and provider actions still require the appropriate access.
Secure payments
When checkout is enabled, payment details are entered on Stripe’s hosted page. ClearSite does not receive or store your full card number or security code. Stripe securely keeps the payment-method information needed for annual renewals. The project planner remains a browser-local planning tool and does not send an order or confirm a subscription.
